Campus
Schools and their campuses provide excellent opportunities to increase energy efficiency and reduce waste. And more importantly to be models of what can be done within the local community.
There are many simple steps you can take in school to help your environment:
• Recycle your unwanted papers, don’t throw them away
• Use reusable containers for your lunch or and recycle your soda cans and milk cartons!
• Turn off a computer when you’re done using it.
• Start a project planting trees around your school, here’s a great project model
• Talk to your school’s administration about :
o Cutting costs and saving energy by turning off more lights.
o Turning off vending machines at night.
o Adjusting the school’s thermostats according to the time of day.
• You can go to this website to explain your ideas to the heads of the Bose School District.
